Director`s Statement

It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that I welcome you to the new website of the Trade Service of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry.

Within an international business environment of intense challenges and peculiar conditions, resulting from the spread of the pandemic and the energy crisis, the Trade Service plays a decisive role in strengthening the export effort of companies, in the sectors of services, agricultural and industrial products.

The targeted package of promotion and promotion measures that it applies over time include the organization of business missions and forums to promote Cyprus as an international business service center in specific countries, the participation with a government stand at international trade fairs, the participation with an informational stand at selected product fairs and services, the granting of sponsorships for private participation in specialized trade fairs, the registration of articles and advertisements in printed and electronic media and the hosting of foreign importers and journalists in Cyprus.

Also, the Trade Service, in the context of a targeted and dynamic promotion and promotion of Cypriot products, has established the national visual identity "CYPRUS made" and implements the National Action Plans for Cypriot wine and halloumi. At the same time, in the framework of strengthening the extroversion of Cypriot companies providing services in new sectors, in the year 2022 the YEEB participated for the first time in a technology exhibition with the participation of Cypriot technological companies.

Through the new customer-centric website of the Trade Service, we aim to strengthen the provision of information for our businesses and at the same time to create new communication channels with the business community.

Both I personally and the staff of the Service will continue to actively support the development of the extroversion of Cypriot businesses and promote Cyprus as an attractive international business center.
